Hello!  I know I haven't posted in a while, but I am going to be on regularly starting soon.  It's that time of the year again!  School is starting soon and I have yet to do all of my shopping for clothes and supplies.  I'm feeling very giddy and such, and I'm really ready to get back into a routine.  I just feel like such a bum, you know?  Anyways, the room redo is in full swing, I'm planning a big outing to Ikea (YIPPEE!) on Sunday and I'm so excited.  But sad at the same point as my pollopescetarianism prevents me from eating their delicious Swedish meatballs :(

Anywho, here's basically what we're planning the new layout to be:

We have two of the chairs that are going to be in the back left corner, we're selling one and getting an offwhite slipcover for the remaining chair, then adding an orange throw pillow for a cute splash of color.  The table next to it, from Rooms to Go, which I also already have, is currently black with white glass in the middle, we're going to paint it green, so this is it right now:

We are getting the desking/shelving unit from Ikea, it is called the Expedit workstation, it's pretty reasonably priced ($119.99) for what it is, and that'll  be in white.  It looks like this:EXPEDIT Workstation IKEA The desk stands evenly on uneven floors with the adjustable feet.
I have it pictured in black-brown because the white one is really hard to see.  I'm going to keep one of the super cute chairs (probably the orange or the bright blue one) from the table set and keep it as a desk chair, and sell the other three.  The floor lamp behind the little table and chair is one I already have, just a very simple floor lamp.  We're going to take the mirror off of my dresser and do that jazzy stuff to it to hide the damage (not typing this again, it's in another post somewhere).

There will be a frame wall on the left wall towards the back, and then to the left of the bookshelf that is part of the workstation is where we'll put the dog crates.

We're keeping the same white with black ring duvet cover, but changing the matching pillow cases to something green or orange.  I need an orange task lamp for my desk (I have yet to find one that isn't $200 like all the other ones, seriously who pays that much for a lamp???) and a simple table lamp with some orange in it for my bedside table.  "A well lit room has three sources of lighting other than the window and the ceiling light."  We're going to put in grommet curtains, and hopefully a flushed ceiling fan (very low ceiling).   Also I'm finally getting a princess mirror like I have always wanted.

This redo is going

Ok so my new url, which took me a long time to come up with, and very well might change again, will be www.bitsofsavannah.weebly.com  Also, some exciting news, on July 5, the blog reached a record 28 views! It doesn't seem like much, but after nothing for about a month, this random spike just made me so happy! Thank you for all of your support!

So we've all heard how "Change is good," but it's always a bit difficult.  I've been thinking about converting the blog into something different and more personal for a while now.  It's getting hard to find projects that haven't been done before, and with things like Pinterest, everything has already been seen and done.  So, keeping the spirit of the blog in mind, I have decided to keep the DIY tab, but change the blog into something more broad spectrum.  A place where anyone can go and enjoy.  The DIY tab will be frequently updated, but more will be added, and I'm hoping to expand.  I will post soon about a new URL, so you don't lose me.  Thank you to anyone who has stuck with me and read any of these posts. You are very appreciated.

Hi I'm Savannah, I don't really know how to do this, so I'll keep it simple.  I really like doing DIY things and interior decorating, and blogging is something I really love and just recently got into because I'm lazy! I would love some feedback so any comments are highly appreciated! xx
